CALL
FOR PAPERS
The
Department of International Relations at the University of Karachi is
the oldest Department of International Relations in Pakistan and the third
oldest in South Asia. It was established in 1958 and in 2008, the Department
has held Golden Jubilee Celebrations, to mark its 50 years of existence.
As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Department has now decided
to move one step forward and launch its own biannual research journal,
namely, the Pakistan Journal of International Relations (PJIR).
The
Pakistan Journal of International Relations purports to be a quality,
peer reviewed journal inviting interesting and thought provoking contributions
from scholars of national and international repute as well as doctoral
students and researchers. The subject areas covered are as follows:

• Human Security and Development

• Regional Cooperation and Regional Institutional Building
We,
the editorial team of the Pakistan Journal of International Relations
(PJIR), kindly extend an invitation to contribute articles and Book Reviews
in the above-mentioned areas. All submitted research articles must be
original and should not have been published nor should be under consideration
for publication anywhere else. The approximate length for main articles
is 8,000-10,000 words and for book reviews 700-800 words. All submitted
pieces should be typed double-spaced in Times New Roman with a 12 font
size.
The
main articles should be accompanied with an Abstract and short introduction
of the author including his/her present place of affiliation. All submitted
articles will be assessed by two referees. The anonymity of the author
will be maintained during the refereeing process.
All
references should be typed as footnotes with a bibliography at the end.
